I studied Textile design at University College Falmouth, and graduated in 2007. I then returned to my home island of Guernsey in the Channel Islands, where I took over Sula Framing and Gallery with my Dad. It's such an inspiration to come to work everyday, and I love it when I sell my artwork and get to see who it will be going home with. I am always interested in hearing from people that would like to talk about a commission for artwork, so please do get in touch.
My inspirations are mostly plants, animals and the Guernsey landscape - when I was younger I was a Sunday girl in local garden centre, and my parents had greenhouses, so I was always surrounded with lots of inspiration. My paintings and prints are ideal for kids bedrooms and nurseries, as well as more grown up spaces. Kids tend to get drawn to the sparkly beads and bright colours, and adults appreciate the skill and unique look of my artwork.
I have participated in both group and solo exhibitions and my work hangs in private collections all over the world. In 2012 I was lucky enough to be filmed for ITV's 'Island Hospital' where I was filmed preparing for my first solo exhibition, I was so nervous, as I'm very shy, but it was one of the best things I've ever done for my career, with quite a flurry of sales that came in after it was shown.
